I have really wanted to move into using guides to make my projects, but I'm not sure how to make them equidistant between each other, also is there any way to do diagonal guides? You did such a perfect job here!

I use a custom 14 column grid based off the 12 column grid from 960grids as my basis for all web projects. (I like my files to be 1200px wide and their 12 column grid is substantially smaller than that).

After that, I add in more guides as needed. The easiest way to do this is to drag from the ruler holding down shift. At 100%, this will move the guide at 5px intervals so your guides will always be 5n px apart. Most people don't use them for spacing, just for alignment purposes, but I find using the 5px spaces to be very useful.

Not possible. You would have to create a new layer with a diagonal edge that you can use to snap things to.

Ahh, that sounds kinda crazy, do you ever do that?

Nope. I rarely use diagonals and when I do, I just lay everything out horizontally and then rotate it.
